This month, we are delighted to announce our new partnership and representation of the UK’s National Archives, guardians of over 1,000 years of iconic national documents, including the Magna Carta.
We’re also celebrating Singapore-based artist Emi Avora, winner of the Women in Art Overseas Prize 2025, and New York-based Director and Designer Brian Drucker, both represented exclusively by us, alongside curated lightboxes showcasing globally significant history and culture.
This October, Lien Nguyen & Nele Heinrich from our Berlin sales team will be attending DOKLeipzig on October 30, one of the world’s leading festivals for documentary and animated film. We’ll be on hand to showcase how Bridgeman Footage can support filmmakers, producers and creatives with powerful archival content and tailored licensing solutions.
The National Archives is a non-ministerial department serving as the official archive and publisher for the UK Government, as well as for England and Wales. They are the guardians of over 1,000 years of iconic national documents, from Shakespeare’s will to tweets from Downing Street, to preserve them for generations to come, making them as accessible and available as possible. The collection is one of the largest in the world, comprising over 11 million historical government records. From the Domesday Book to the Magna Carta, Guy Fawkes' confession to three of the first printed records of the US Declaration of Independence, the calling card left by the Marquis of Queensberry for Oscar Wilde that sparked his trial to the signed letter of abdication of Edward VIII, it is a treasure trove of some of the most significant documents from the UK and around the world. The collection includes paper and parchment, digital records and websites, photographs, posters, maps, drawings and paintings.
Emi Avora (b. 1979, Athens) is a Singapore-based artist who trained at the Royal Academy Schools, London. Her vibrant paintings, prints and drawings blend sharp lines with fluid forms to create dreamlike interiors that explore identity and cultural memory. Widely exhibited internationally and held in collections across Europe and the USA, she has been featured in publications including the New York Times. In 2025, Avora received the Women in Art Overseas Prize, recognising her global contribution to contemporary art.
Brian is a New York-based Director and Designer with over 20 years of experience spanning architecture, set design, visual effects, 3D animation and immersive media. Trained in Architecture and Civil Engineering, he began his career with Frank Gehry and Coop Himmelblau before moving into film, music videos, and major studios including Sony Imageworks, DreamWorks and Framestore. His work ranges from museum exhibits for the Smithsonian to theatrical productions and large-scale interactive installations.
